he Project consists of the renovation of a portion of the existing M. S. Bailey Municipal Center owned by the City of Clinton for use by the Laurens County Department of Social Services (approximately 11,500 SF). The tenant space will be fully renovated to include all new plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems and new architectural upgrades. COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION OF THE WORK A. SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION 1. The undersigned understands that time is of the essence in completing the work, and agrees, if awarded the Contract, to begin work within five days of receipt of the building permit, and to complete the entire work to the satisfaction of the Owner and Architect within two hundred forty (240) calendar days. 2. Substantial Completion shall be in accordance with the General Conditions of the contract (AIA-A201) paragraph 8.1.3 and 9.8. B. FINAL COMPLETION 1.
