Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Sundre, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work shall include the supply and installation of a new bridge culvert over a Watercourse, located approximately 65 km west of Sundre (NW 25-32-10-5). The Contractor shall install a 2.2 m Dia CSP culvert by 49 m invert length as per the Drawings and Section 18 of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The culvert will be located on a 10 degree right hand forward skew to the road, centred at Station 23+675.2. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: - Traffic accommodation by Staged Construction - Site isolation, turbidity monitoring, and fish capture and release - Demolition and disposal of bridge structures - Excavation, including geotextile filter fabric - Supply and assembly of culvert materials - Supply and installation of rocky substrate with substrate holders - Backfill, including backfill material testing - Heavy rock riprap erosion protection - Roadway work - Guardrail including delineator guide posts - Permanent environmental protection devices including seeding prescription and plantings Award is subject to final approval.
