The Project includes complete replacement of two existing side by side channel longitudinal grit removal bucket equipment systems with associated mechanical modifications where required and minor electrical work. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment including but not limited to; selective demolition of the existing collector systems, complete new collector system equipment installation in two (2) channels,perform repairs to concrete tanks as necessary, installation of Lower Level E-Stops and new on/off switches, removal and re-installation of existing housing and covers as necessary for system install, and associated electrical, mechanical and structural work to construct a complete and operational project as specified in these Contract Documents. The Project includes replacement of two existing side by side channel Longitudinal Grit Removal Bucket Equipment Systems, including removal and replacement of all buckets, drive units, collector chains, sprockets, and return rails. Existing housings /shroud covers, grit collection troughs, and all guards & covers shall remain in place and be re-used. Associated electrical work, including wiring, partial conduit, switches and e-stops are required. Minor concrete work within the channel may be required depending on the system selected. The Work will be substantially complete within 350 days ; final completion- 365 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run manpower utilization - MBE (13.2%), WBE (6.9%) The percentage of MBE utilization goal for this contract is 10%. The percentage of WBE utilization goal for this contract is 2%.
