The YWCA of Eastern Union County (the "Owner"), formally requests vendor / supplier proposals for the following materials: Interior Doors, fire rated drop ceiling grid, fire rated drop ceiling tile, door hardware, window guards, and safety glass panels. 1. OVERVIEW 1.1 Owner Backgrounds The YWCA of Eastern Union County is a non-profit organization which is nearing the completion of its administrative office located at 1129-1133 East Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201. The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice freedom and dignity for all. In this context, the YWCA is on a mission to empower survivors of domestic violence to become safe and free from abuse, and to promote social justice and eliminate violence against women and girls. We accomplish this mission through the provision of comprehensive, client centered services, and through education, collaboration and advocacy that builds safe, informed, and supportive communities. Project Description The scope of this RFP is limited to the purchase of opening and finish materials for the already constructed administration building. 1.5 Contract documents: Architectural Drawings and Specifications. A. An emailed link containing the relevant architectural documents, specific to the materials which are to be purchased through this RFP, will be provided to pre-qualified prospective bidders after a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement is executed. QUESTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS All questions must be submitted concisely in writing no later than Tuesday May 7, 2024, by 2:00 PM. To receive a copy of applicable construction documents needed to bid on this project youmust contactthe YWCA by email only. YWCA willrespond by email promptly. Email allrequests and questionsto: Kathryn Lynch, Executive Director YWCA of Eastern Union County Email: klynch@ywcaunioncounty.org All communications concerning this RFP must be in writing and directed to the Kathryn Lynch Material Specifications All materials quoted are to meet the exact specification as provided in construction documents or an approved equal or superior alternate approved by the architect. 2.2 Confirmation of Available Stock Materials quoted must be available for delivery within 6 weeks from the time of contract execution. 2.3 Insurance and Bonds Provide details of insurance as follows: A. Workers Compensation B. General Liability W/ Umbrella C. Automotive Insurance 2.4 Construction Schedule The project is in progress. Materials Are needed within 6 (six) weeks of contract execution. 2.5 Payments The Owner shall make monthly payments to the supplier based upon Applications for Payment submitted to the Architect by the supplier, and Certificates for Payment issued by the Architect. A contract is anticipated to be awarded following the interviews. The anticipated date for the interviews is Tuesday May 14, 2024, between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. 7. RFP QUALIFICATIONS In receiving a proposal for the materials described in this RFP and in the supporting documents, the Owner assumes no obligation to enter into a contract for this work and, the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the bid, which in its opinion appears to be in the best interest of Owner. All costs incurred by firms choosing to participate in the RFP process shall be borne by the firm bidding for the work. The Owner may withdraw this RFP at any time before or afterthe submission of proposals, by written notice, or reject any or all proposals submitted in response to this RFP
