Scope of Work: Carteret County Government is soliciting competitive proposals to hot patch, crack fill, sealcoat and restripe the parking lot of the Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center located 3820 Galantis Drive, Morehead City, NC 28557. Details are as follows: o The Contractor shall thoroughly clean and prepare the parking lot in order to hot patch, crack fill, sealcoat a minimum of two-coats and restripe approximately one-hundred and sixteen (116) spaces and six (6) accessible spaces. All potholes and cracks shall be repaired as needed. o The Contractor shall restripe the parking lot with straight and crisp markings, which shall include but not limited to accessible areas, parking spaces, curbs, crosswalks, fire lanes, existing "STOP" markings, yellow thresholds leading to walkways, and other necessary markings. The Contractor shall ensure that the appropriate colors are used and that all markings follow ADA guidelines. o The Contractor shall remove and replace one (1) concrete parking curb as indicated on diagram and associated pictures below. o Any landscaping obstructing the project area shall be cut and removed by the Contractor, who shall also be responsible for clearing all debris offsite. o Work shall commence on consecutive weekends, contingent on weather conditions and with County approval. The Contractor shall block off both entrances during work and ensure they are unblocked before the start of business. o Any damages caused by the Contractor shall be the Contractor's responsibility to fix or replace at the County's discretion. o The Contractor shall verify all measurements ensuring parking spaces and accessibility requirements are accurate. o The Contractor shall obtain the required permits, if required, give all notices to the POC (including a copy of any permits), and comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. Permits shall be posted onsite at project location. No time extensions shall be granted or financial consideration given to the Contractor for time or monies lost due to violations of any such ordinance, code, law or regulations that may occur.
