EMAIL The Housing Authority of the City of Elizabeth shall not be held liable for any delay caused by the U.S. Postal Service. The HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ELIZABETH will only accept original and originally executed bidding documents (including but not limited to the Bid; Affidavits; Qualification Questionnaire; Statement of Ownership, Statement of Compliance; Bid Bond; Consent of Surety; Certificate as to Corporate Principal, HUD Directive; and Affirmative Action). Photocopies and/or Telex copies of such documents will not be accepted in lieu of originals. All bidders will be required to submit a certified or cashier's check to the order of the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ELIZABETH for the following amounts; ten percent (10%) or a maximum of $20,000; on bids up to $200,000; bids between 200,000 to $400,000 shall be $20,000; bids over $400,000 shall be 5% of the bid amount. Bidders may use a Bid Bond for a like sum executed by a Surety Company qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey. All bids and security must be enclosed in triplicate in a properly sealed envelope bearing on the outside: the name of the bidder and the title of the bid contained therein. The provisions of Affirmative Action Program (AAP) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) are incorporated herein. Full requirements of the program may be obtained with the bid documents.
