This project generally consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to remove the existing pump, motor, and column assemblies; install the Contractor furnished modified surface plate assembly, column assembly, submersible pump bowl assembly, submersible motor, power cable, shroud, and all appurtenant materials; well rehabilitation; video survey; borehole alignment survey; machine work; column pre-fill; chlorinate the well and pumping assembly; daily clean-up of the job site at the conclusion of each work day; complete an efficiency tests; and perform all incidental work necessary to complete repair in accordance with the specifications. To be eligible to submit a bid, the Bidder, or subcontractor, must possess a valid State of Hawai'i C-57a or C-68 Contractor's license. The Department of Water Supply reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, and to waive informalities. The Contractor shall furnish a firm schedule of work to the Project Engineer upon approval of all submittals within 14 calendar days thereafter. Schedules shall be immediately updated upon notification of changes to manufacturer's production, testing or delivery schedules. The Contractor shall closely adhere to the schedule of work and shall notify the Project Engineer to any changes to schedule regarding work on-site, a minimum of 48-hours prior to the performance of the specified work. Failure of the Contractor to submit a firm schedule of work by the specified deadline and timely schedule updates, shall disqualify the Contractor for consideration for project time extensions, as provided for in Part 9 of the Instruction to Bidders on page IB-15. The bidder, if requested to file a completed pre-qualification questionnaire "Standard Qualification Questionnaire for Prospective Bidders on Public Works Contracts," shall submit same on or before 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024. 1) The prospective bidder must file his written notification of Intent to Bid on or before 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024. 2) The bidder must file substitution requests no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024.
