City of Noble is Accepting Sealed Bids for a Street Resurfacing Project Along a 2.5 Mile Stretch of Cemetery Road. Questions about the project may be addressed to Jeff Perkins at (405) 301-6991. The Project Will Consist of a 2" Mill and Fill, Patchwork, and Restriping Between Us Highway 77 and 72nd Street. The City Will Select the Lowest, Responsible Bid for the Project Within 30 Days of Opening. The City Retains the Right to Reject All Bids, or to Eliminate Portions of the Project in the Total Bid. Bids Submitted 96 Hours Before the Opening Date (Excluding Weekends and Holidays) Will Be Returned, Unopened. Repairs are to made to ODOT Standards. Low elevation areas and depressions in existing asphalt (ruts, potholes, and other damaged areas) are to be repaired and filled to allow for proper drainage of rain water to the outside edge of the road pavement and onto the shoulder. The repaired depressions need to be compacted (95%) prior to the tacking and final layers of asphalt are applied, in order to prevent compressional issues after the final asphalt is installed. Tack coat shall be applied between successive layers of the hot mix asphalt courses. Gravel and each successive layer of asphalt shall be compacted to 95%. Milling shall be done to a maximum of 2". The sides and bottoms of Depressions shall be cleaned after they are cut and shaped to form a square or rectangle, whose sides are 12" minimum, from the top of repair area and parallel or at right angles to the direction of traffic with the edges neat and as nearly vertical as possible. Apply tack coat on the bottom and sides of the depression repair area. Depressions less than 1 1/2 " deep that have not degraded the base shall have loose material removed, tack coat applied and then filled with type S4 PG64-22 ODOT hot mix asphalt surface course and compacted. Streets that are to be milled shall have depressions extend into the existing base saw cut and have the asphalt and base removed to a depth of 11" deep. The depression shall then be filled with ODOT type A aggregate base and compact to within 5" of the existing surface. The remaining portion of the repair shall then be filled to type S3 PG64-22 ODOT base course and compacted. The area of the street to be repaired will then be milled 2", have the surface cleaned a coat of tack binding applied and the 2" of type S4 PG64-22 ODOT hot mix asphalt surface course applied and compacted. New Asphalt Surface/Resurface: After final resurfacing, all road surfaces must drain rain water to the outside edges of the pavement; that is, no water pooling should occur on any asphalt surface when this work is completed.
