I. INTRODUCTION The City of Dover, New Hampshire is requesting bids from qualified contractors to perform repair services to various dugouts on ballfields. General information is as follows II. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The City of Dover reserves the right to waive any formality, informality, information and/or errors in the proposals submitted and the right to reject any or all proposals at its discretion and to accept the proposal which will be in the best interest of the City; or to purchase on the open market if it is considered in the best interest of the City to do so. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS The City of Dover has a number of recreation ballfields with dugouts constructed of wood with asphalt shingled roofs. Each field being built in different times with dugout built differently, each field has different repairs needed. All fields will require roof replacement, due to high winds at certain fields metal roofing will be required to reduce the need to constantly repair damaged shingles. In an effort to standardize roofing materials metal roofing will be required at all locations manufacturer and color to be approved by Facilities Project Manager. Some dugouts will require repairs of rotted lumber due to years of exposure to the elements, rotted wood to be replaced in kind with Pressure treated dimensional lumber. At least one dug out will have to be reconstructed due to erosion around the concrete supports, a new retaining wall will need to be constructed to reduce erosion. The City is soliciting proposals to make structural repairs to these structures as well as roofing of dug outs, storage sheds and concession stands. Each field identified below has different scope of work and are also listed on Cost sheet on Attachment E.
