No definite date for the rebid.** The scope of work consists principally of the purchase and installation of a 4"" irrigation well and 5hp pump for the irrigation of two new soccer fields that will be constructed at the Ralph Schumacher Soccer Park located at 18507 US-98 Provide and install a 4 inch irrigation well with a 5 horsepower pump. It is the intent for this well to pull from ground water. 2) The well should have a minimum pressure rating of 50-60 PSI and 80 GPM. 3) Work shall be performed by a professional well driller and pump installer who is properly licensed in the State of Alabama. 4) Well installation shall include casing, well screen, grout and all other components required for a complete and operational well. 5) Contractor is responsible for connecting all power to ensure the pump is working properly. A 3-phase transformer is being installed at the site and it will have up to 480 volts available. 6) The irrigation well and pump will be required to irrigate an area that is approximately 173,000 square feet in size. 7) Contractor shall dispose of surplus earthwork and drilling waste as agreed upon by the City. 8) Any damage to nearby fields or the surrounding area shall be restored to pre-drilling condition. 9) Conduct a final pump test after well has been constructed to ensure its performance and efficiency. The final location of the well will be determined once new electrical service has been installed. It is preferred that the well be located within 30 feet of the power; however, we won't know the exact distance until the transformer is installed.
