DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK. The project consists of installing 940' of 12" dedicated fire water, FDCs and fire hydrants, 80' of 12" domestic water with tie ins, 1,200' of storm drainage and inlets and 525' of 6" sewer with new manholes. Utilities will have steel sleeve in locations under new rail line. Utilities and fire water will need to tie in to Shed 7-8 on Port Road 4. 5. CONTRACT TIME. Work shall be finally completed within 60 calendar days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. Weekend work for shut downs and tie-ins is expected. 6. REQUIRED CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE(S). A California "A" Contractor License is required to Bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. additional pre bid meeting note: Any Bidder arriving after that time will not be permitted to attend the meeting or Bid on the Work. Any Bidder wishing to investigate subsurface conditions at the Site must schedule such a visit with the Port BID SUBMISSION: Bidder shall mark its Bid envelope as BID FOR THE STOCKTON PORT DISTRICT, DOCK 7-8 UTILITY CONSTRUCTION, CONTRACT NUMBER 4-24-6. Bids shall be deemed to include the written responses of the Bidder to any questions or requests for information of Port made as part of Bid evaluation process after submission of Bid. Bidder's failure to submit all required documents strictly as required entitles Port to reject the Bid as non-responsive. 5.1. The submission of a Bid does not commit Port to award a contract for the Project, to pay costs incurred in the preparation of a Bid, or to procure or contract for any goods or services.
