Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for site work for a library; for the renovation of a library; and playground / park / athletic field.
This revitalization project will re-envision the area outside the branch to promote increased use and enjoyment of the space. The scope of work will include flexible program space with additional seating for group and individual use, shade cover (pergola), improved exterior accessibility, themed gardens (pollinator, butterfly and native flora gardens), mor1e bicycle parking, updated lighting, exterior outlets and amplified wifi, and new TPL signage. TIMELINE: This project has been placed on hold by the owner. Preliminary design is underway. Capital funding has been allocated in the 2023/2024 plan. Schedules for tender and construction are anticipated in 2025.
