Public Utility District No. 1 of Pend Oreille County (the District), is seeking bids for a contractor to supply material and labor required to install a fire system at the District's Box Canyon Hydroelectric Facilities in Ione, WA. The purpose of the bid is to obtain a contractor to supply material and labor required to install a fire alarm system at the District's Box Canyon Hydroelectric Facilities in Ione, WA per the design supplied by Evco Integrated Solutions. The work will be performed under the direction of the District's Safety Manager or other designated District personnel. The work will be done under a written contract in a form acceptable to District. The District shall be the exclusive judge of all bids and reserves the right to accept or reject any bid proposal based upon its own criteria and sole judgment. Per the provided design documents from Evco Integrated Solutions, provide a complete networked addressable fire alarm system using existing Gamewell e-3 fire alarm system and adding additional devices where needed. Testing of existing system will need to be accomplished prior to adding additional product, to verify operation and locations. The Maintenance Building and Control Building have panels installed and devices trimmed. The Powerhouse has the original panel installed. The District has the parts for the Visitor Center. Network is connected to all nodes except for the Visitor Center fiber is there but equipment is not installed. As the main boards for this project were purchased in 2012 at least one, if not all, will need to be replaced. A new communicator will be located in the Maintenance Building, which will require a data drop. General notes: Contractor shall provide a complete fire alarm system, complying with local codes and NFPA where required, contractor shall provide stamped drawings showing device locations and calculations. When connecting to existing equipment, verify that existing fire-alarm system is operational before making changes or connections. Contractor shall treat all project information and plans with confidentiality (CEII). Upon completion of the project destroy all CEII documents including but not limited to drawings and information on the control room. Each bid must be accompanied by the following: The completed bid proposal form including project timeline and schedule. Performance and payment bonds will be required with the contract. Selected contractor shall be knowledgeable and experienced in the following: Ability to program fire system control panels already installed or provide replacements within the bid. Ability to perform all necessary work for completion of the project or coordinate work within the bid proposal. The State of Washington prevailing wage rates are applicable for this contract located in Pend Oreille County. Bidders are responsible to verify and use the most recent prevailing wage rates. The applicable prevailing wage rates may be found on the Department of Labor and Industries website. The District reserves the right to cancel this bid at any time, or issue amendments or corrections. The District reserves the right to award this contract, or to not award this contract.
