THE SCOPE OF WORK INTENDED AS BASE BID SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARY BE LIMITED TO, PROVIDING ALL LABOR, MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT FOR A NEW WATER SERVICE CONNECTION TO EXISTING WATER LINE, NEW DEDICATED IRRIGATION WATER LINE, NEW FIRE WATER LINE TO EXISTING BUILDING FIRE SYSTEMS, EXISTING FIRE HYDRANTS, INSTALL NEW FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS, NEW FIRE HYDRANTS, METERS, BACKFLOW DEVICES, TRENCHING, BACKFILL & RECOMPACTION, PATCHING CONCRETE, AC PAVING, TURF, ABANDON EXISTING PIPE LINES BY INSTALLING PLUG END AND THRUST BLOCKS, AS REQUIRED AND INDICATED TO ENSURE A COMPLETE & FUNCTIONAL PROJECT. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE CONNECTIONS TO PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM WITH CALIFORNIA WATER SERVICE. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, prequalification of the prime contractor (bidder), and of its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46), is required for the bidder to submit a bid on this project. Prospective bidders and their MEP subcontractors (1) are required to submit to the Owner a completed prequalification questionnaire and financial statement, on forms provided by the Owner, no later than ten business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids, and (2) must be announced as prequalified no later than five business days prior to the date fixed for the public opening of sealed bids. All labor, materials, and equipment required to provide and install all work necessary and required for the installation of the new irrigation main line with a backflow preventer, trenching, asphalt, paving, and concrete sidewalk, landscaping, demolition, and replacement.
