Disclaimer: If a contractor is interested in submitting a bid, said contractor must attain a copy of the documents directly from the architect of record. No bidder may submit a bid without attaining the bid documents from the Architect of record. For the bid of: Locker Room Shower Area Renovations at the Garfield Boys and Girls Club 490 Midland Avenue, Garfield, NJ 07026 and all work incidental thereto as indicated in and in accordance with the project documents. Bids must be submitted in duplicate and enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder, the name of the project, the time and date designated for the receipt of bids, addressed to Mr. Shane Sudol, Chief Executive Officer of the Garfield Boys and Girls Club at 490 Midland Avenue, City of Garfield, New Jersey 07026, and must be accompanied by a Statement of Ownership, Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Cashier's check, Certified Check or Bid Bond, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, provided said check need not be more than $20,000 and submitted with bid at the place on the hour named above. Bids must be accompanied by consent of Surety pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-22. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Bond for the full amount of the project. Question Deadline 05/13/2024 Questions, requests for clarification or similar communications to the Architect shall only be made via written correspondence via email. Inquiries shall be sent to Dan Dressel, Architect@ddarchitects@aol.com Addenda will be issued only for inquiries, which are not adequately covered in the bidding documents, and which, in the Architect's opinion, may have an impact on the bid proposal. No communications should be made within ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids. The Surety Company for the bid bond (if applicable) and the surety company for the performance and payment of bonds must be licensed in the State of New Jersey, approved by the Federal Treasury and listed in the most recent Circular No. 570. Bids shall be made on the Proposal Form and the Non-Collusion Affidavit included in the project specifications, copies of which will be furnished on application to the Chief Executive Officer of the Garfield Boys and Girls Club. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 17:19 et seq., in order to submit a bid for the Project, Bidders must be authorized to do business in New Jersey. Any Bidder which is a corporation not chartered under the laws of the State of New Jersey, must submit an affidavit certifying that said corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1999, c. 288, "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act", which became effective on April 11, 2000. Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage (Davis/Bacon) Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et. seq., and pay all workmen and/or subcontractors performing services in connection with the project not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the State Department of Labor and industry. Said prevailing rate of wages shall be determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis/Bacon Act, as amended, or the New Jersey Prevailing Wage law of 1963, Chapter 150 (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.), whichever rates are higher. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C.127, Affirmative Action and P.L. 1977, C. 33, Statement of Ownership. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid or bids, and to reject any or all bids and to accept such bid or bids and to make such award(s) as may be in the best interest of the Owner. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids pursuant to applicable law and regulations, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder.
