("ENWIN") is Windsor's Local Distribution Company ("LDC"), responsible for the distribution of electricity and the servicing and maintenance of Windsor's power line infrastructure. ENWIN also serves as the community's water system operator under contract with the owner of the local water production and distribution infrastructure, the Windsor Utilities Commission ("WUC"), and is acting as the agent for WUC for this Request for Prequalification process. This Request for Prequalification ("RFPQ") is open to all interested and qualified Micro Tunnel Boring Machine (MTBM) Subcontractors who wish to be considered as prequalified contractors for the Central Corridor Feedermain Construction Services expected to be tendered in 4 phases in the City of Windsor, Ontario. This prequalification process shall be valid for the period of five (5) years, effective July 2024. General scope of services includes Feedermain construction in existing urban right of ways in the City of Windsor by micro tunneling method of construction Typical size of watermains to be installed by Micro Tunnelling will primarily be 1200mm in diameter with casings ranging in size from 1650mm to 2100mm in diameter. Micro Tunnelling will primarily take place under rail crossings, municipal drains or EC Row Expressway. Prequalified Micro Tunnelling Sub-Contractors will be listed as a qualified Micro Tunnelling Sub-Contractor in future Central Corridor Feedermain Requests for Tenders (RFT).
