Renovation of an educational facility in Glendale, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of June 26, 2024, no bids received. No definite date for the rebid.** Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. Any bid that is submitted after this time shall be non-responsive and returned to the bidder. The Project consists of: Saw cut concrete floors and run conduit, paint entire Kitchen, and install tile. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: Class B Contractor License. The Bidder's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. All contractors and sub-contractors of every tier must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). As security for its Bid, each bidder shall provide with its Bid form a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Glendale Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, Scope of Work: All work is to be done during summer time; anything that is not completed is to be done at a second shift from 3 to 10 PM. The work area should be cleaned and returned to original condition for use by kitchen staff for next day. All refrigeration, equipment and furniture must be moved by contractor during work and returned to its original location unless specified by the kitchen staff. Contractor should use plastic coverings to set up barrier for dust control; contractor is responsible for all cleanup. 1) Valley View 1) Saw cut approximately 70 feet of concrete 2) Install 2- 1-inch conduit into the ground 3) Install 7 in ground water proof boxes 4) Provide 6 in ground conduit boxes with 12 circuits at 20 amps each with number 10 gauge wires. 5) Provide 1 in ground box with a 220-volt 30 amp circuit with eight gauge wires 6) Must provide plugs and installation services of the equipment upon arrival 7) Close up floor with new concrete 8) Paint new floor concrete to match existing as best as possible 9) Paint approximately 2400 sq. feet of kitchen with two primer coats and a Two coats of paint 10) Mask off all necessary transitions 11) Contractor is to remove all relocate all refrigerators, appliances, and Equipment and is to put back and reinstall everything to its original location Including gas and all electrical that has been disconnected. 12) Contractor is to cap off existing Gas lines and secure 2) Monte Vista 1) Saw cut approximately 65 feet of concrete 2) Install 2- 1-inch conduit into the ground 3) Install 7 in ground water proof boxes 4) Provide 6 in ground conduit boxes with 12 circuits at 20 amps each With number 10 gauge wires. 5) Provide 1 in ground box with a 220-volt 30 amp circuit with eight gauge wires 6) Must provide plugs and installation services of the equipment upon arrival
