Renovation of a transportation facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Trinity Metro is seeking proposals from qualified firms to replace outdated HVAC System Removal and replacement of seven (7) HVAC units. Procure and install new like-for-like high efficiency units, unless otherwise noted. Procure and install new supply fan variable speed drive. Proposed/installed Unit weight shall not exceed 5% above the existing HVAC unit weight. Reuse existing curbs on the roof or provide curb adapter if necessary. Install new disconnect switch and conduit to the new units’ Ducting and Air Distribution. Install new electrical junction boxes when connecting new wiring to existing wiring. All electrical work must be done in accordance to National, State, and Local code. Low-voltage splices need to be easily accessible. 110 volt outlet/circuits in the ac unit need to be powered on. Install a service outlet within 25 feet of rooftop unit per NEC code. Install new condensation drain lines. Install hail guards on all rooftop exposed units. Re-use existing ductwork. Test and balance all modified systems. Perform duct leak remediation as required. Install smoke detector and connect to existing fire alarm systems if required by code. Connect new HVAC equipment to existing thermostat and Johnson controls Metasys System. Only where needed for compatibility, update thermostat/thermistor. Start up and function test equipment and controls. Set up and test outside air economizer consistent with Code requirements for ventilation. Document and submit all start-up and testing logs for all equipment. On new Unit installation the vendor is to procure and install new high-efficiency units to include ducting and Air Distribution. Procure and install new supply fan variable speed drive. Make roof penetrations and install curbs. Install disconnect switch and conduit to the new units. Install new electrical junction boxes when connecting new wiring to existing wiring. All electrical work must be done in accordance to National, State, and Local code. Ensure HVAC system is set up in Trinity Metros Johnson controls Metasys System and fully operational on the controls side. Start-up and function test equipment and controls. Set up and test outside air economizer consistent with Code requirements for ventilation. Document and submit all start-up and testing logs for all equipment. Purpose Trinity Metro is seeking proposals for an HVAC project involving several Trinity Metro Facilities. This project will include the replacement of existing units. This will be a turnkey project. This project requires an experienced HVAC contractor to execute the job. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material tools, equipment, supervision, and other related items required to complete the project. This project is Grant Funded and must meet all required Federal standards laid out in the Request for Proposal package. Contractors are advised to visit the sites and verify the existing site conditions to develop their proposal. The Building Locations within this scope are as follows below. • Herschel R. Payne (HRP) – 1600 E Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76102 • Fort Worth Central Station - 1001 Jones Street, Fort Worth TX 76102 • T&P Ballroom - 221 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth TX 76102 Specific Scope Trinity Metro seeks a proposal for the replacement of seven (7) existing HVAC systems. The existing HVAC systems that need replacing are listed as • One (1) 7.5 ton (2001 Trane) for the T&P Ballroom located at 221 East Lancaster. • One (1) 2 ton and one (1) 3 ton unit for the North and South pavilions for Fort Worth Central Station located at 1001 Jones Street • One (1) 7.5 ton (2014 McQuay) and one (1) 8.5 ton (2012 York) for the server room at HRP located at 1600 E. Lancaster • One (1) 8 ton unit serving the HRP conference room • One (1) 50 ton unit serving the 2nd floor of HRP (With a Gas Heating Element). System Control and Fire/Life Safety Requirements: The vendor is responsible for insuring all Fire/Life safety devices, sensors, and related equipment are installed on all units. The vendor is to insure new units interface with Proprietary Johnson Controls Metasys System Software. Software version 8.1.0.3024. The units must be programmed in the Trinity Metro Metasys system.
