Site work for a mixed-use development in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Corporation of the District of North Vancouver (the Owner) invites tenders for ITT-040-24, which combines two projects of Lynn Valley Town Centre to Lynn Creek Town Centre (Western Route) and Mtn Hwy Cycling Link (Arborlynn Drive to Hwy #1 WB). The Lynn Valley Town Centre to Lynn Creek Town Centre (LVTC to LCTC) project consists of 4 segments which are: An approximately 4m wide multi use pathway (MUP) passing through Kirkstone park (Segment 1) Improvements to the Kirkstone Rd and Rufus Dr intersection (segment 2) Neighbourhood bikeways along Rufus Dr, Brooksbank Ave and Cloverley St (segment 3) A 3m wide MUP along a section of Salop trail from Cloverley St to Shavington. (Segment 4) These upgrades will help encourage people to walk and cycle to the town centres by providing an alternate paved and well lit connection that is a safe and inviting environment. The Mtn Hwy Cycling Link (Arborlynn Drive to Hwy #1 WB) project consists of 2 sections which are: A 3m wide MUP on the East side of the Mtn Hwy between the Mtn Hwy interchange ramps and Arborlynn drive (East side) A unidirectional bike lane (Approx 1.8m wide) on the West side of Mtn Hwy between the Mtn Hwy interchange ramps and Arborlynn drive.(West Side) The scope of the Work for both projects generally involves but is in not limited to tree clearing, grubbing, hedge trimming, common excavation, removal and disposal of existing concrete curb & gutter, asphalt, sidewalk, construction of asphalt MUP and bike lane, installation of concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk, pedestrian let downs, retaining walls, concrete bench pads, Intersection Improvements such as RRFBs installation (Rapid Flashing Beacons), supply and installation of traffic signal lights, pathway lightings, fibre communication works, CBs, lawn basins, construction of swales, asphalt sliver/gap paving, pavement markings and signage, construction of speed cushions, supply and install benches, bollards and bike counter, boulevard and property restoration including removal of exiting fences and supply/installation of new fences and submission of record drawings.
