Renovation of a retail development in Sterling, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a retail development.
Scope of Work Exterior Masonry Restoration, From Grade to Top of Masonry. Including: Removal and cleaning of all exterior wall areas of existing vines. Cut Out and Repoint miscellaneous deteriorated mortar joints. Remove and replace cracked deteriorated brick units. Cut Out and Reseal all coping stone head joints. Clean existing masonry and apply (1) saturating coat of water repellent to all wall areas Clean up and removal of all debris from site. The City will review each properly submitted bid and will select based upon price, availability, quality and other features of the bid proposals. Not less than the prevailing rates of wages as found by the City of Sterling and/or the Illinois Department of Labor, or determined by a court on review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this bid. The successful bidder shall comply with all requirements of the "Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act", 30 ILCS 570/0.01. The City of Sterling reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and to select the bid that is considered to be the most advantageous to the City of Sterling.
