Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Johnson City, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Notice is hereby given that City of Johnson City, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, shall receive sealed bids for the following waterworks improvements: 500,000 Gallon Steel Standpipe in Johnson City, Tennessee: The complete cleaning and repainting of the tank on the interior surfaces, and the complete cleaning and repainting of the exterior surfaces with containment. Additional Work items include: repair of concrete and grout; furnishing and installation of project sign, roof rafter brackets, flange and elastomeric check valve at discharge end of overflow pipe, shell manhole, exterior shell ladder, ladder safeclimbing device, vandal deterrent, roof manhole, roof safety railings, and pallet and pallet screen for existing clog-resistant roof vent; including other miscellaneous repairs and incidental items. The Bidders attention is directed to the Detailed Technical Specifications for a complete description of the Work and the Project. Notice to Proceed for project is anticipated for on or after September 1, 2024. The bidding documents, contract documents, plans, specifications, and evaluation report will be on file at the City of Johnson City Purchasing Department, 209 Water Street, Johnson City, Tennessee 37601; and in the office of the ENGINEER, Tank Industry Consultants - Headquarters: 7740 West New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46214-2988, telephone 317/271-3100, FAX 317/271-3300, until the bid opening. The bidding documents, contract documents, plans, specifications, and evaluation report may be reviewed at the above locations by appointment only. Next day delivery service by United States Express Mail Service, Federal Express, or UPS Next Day Mail will be available from Tank Industry Consultants for a non-refundable surcharge of fifty dollars ($50) above the cost of the specifications. Checks for the bid documents are to be made out to and delivered to Tank Industry Consultants, 7740 West New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46214. Color copies of the photographs contained in the evaluation report may be obtained from Tank Industry Consultants by United States Priority Mail Service, for a non-refundable sum of ninety dollars ($90) per set. Next day delivery service by United States Express Mail Service, Federal Express, or UPS Next Day Mail will be available from Tank Industry Consultants for a non-refundable surcharge of fifty dollars ($50) above the cost of the photographs. Checks for color copies of the photographs are to be made out to and delivered to Tank Industry Consultants, 7740 West New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46214 and may be combined with the checks for the bid documents. All materials furnished and labor performed incident to and required for the proper and satisfactory execution of the contracts shall be furnished and performed in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications, and any addenda thereto, prepared by Tank Industry Consultants, 7740 West New York Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46214, FAX 317/271-3300. Submitting a Bid on the forms that will be bound with the Contract Documents shall acknowledge that the tank and site have been inspected by the BIDDER or that the right to do so has been waived. The Bidder's attention is directed to the Instructions to Bidders for the following information: 1. Requirements for Bid Security 2. Qualifications of Bidders 3. State License Requirements - All Bidders must be a licensed contractor to perform the type of construction herein described as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, 62-6-119. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope with the "Contractor's License Form" affixed to the outside of the envelope. 4. Drug-Free Workplace Program - Pursuant to T.C.A. 50-9-113, a Bidder must have a Drug-Free Workplace Program that complies with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 50, Chapter 9 in effect at the time of submission of its bid, at least to the extent required of governmental entities. The Bidder's attention is directed to the Agreement for Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages requirements. The Bidder's attention is directed to the General Conditions for the requirements of the Qualifications of Insurers and Sureties. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid or bids that are judged to be in the best interest of the City.
