2024 Pavement Markings Pavement Marking 4" white Pavement Marking 4"yellow Pavement Marking 6" white Pavement Marking 12" white Pavement Marking 24" White Scope of the Work a) Work under this contract consists of the furnishing and placing of reflective pavement markings (paint). b) The pavement markings to be applied generally will consist of centerlines and lane lines, and/or crosswalk lines, stop lines, crosshatch lines, and symbols. c) The pavement will be primarily asphalt. Some pavements may have been rejuvenated by means of "PRA" surface treatment. Some pavements may be Portland Cement Concrete. d) All work is to be scheduled through the Street Division foremen. Question Deadline: 05/15/2024 at 11:00 AM CT, The cut-off for receipt of additional questions n order to facilitate preparation of any addenda. No inquiry received after that time will be given consideration. Replies and/or addenda will be mailed and electronically mailed to all known prospective bidders by 12:00 P.M. Central Daylight Savings Time on Friday May 17, 2024. The City of Rolling Meadows shall not assume responsibility for the receipt by the bidder of any addenda. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of a bid bond, executed by a corporate surety company, a bank cashier's check or a certified check payable to the "City of Rolling Meadows" for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guaranty checks of all, except the two responsive, responsible bidders which the City determines in its sole discretion to be the bidders with whom the City desires to commence negotiations for a contract, will be returned after the bids have been checked and tabulated. The bid guaranty checks of the responsive, responsible bidder will be returned after the contract and the contract bond of the successful bidder have been properly executed and approved. Bid bonds will not be returned. No bid shall be withdrawn after submission of the bid without the consent of the City of Rolling Meadows for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled deadline for submission of bids. The City of Rolling Meadows will review all bids received and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to accept the bids as the Rolling Meadows City Council determines, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the City of Rolling Meadows.
