The Regional Municipality of Niagara (RMON) has retained Arcadis Professional Services (Canada) Inc. (Arcadis) to provide engineering design services for the upgrades to the Ontario Street Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) located at 4884 Ontario Street in the Town of Lincoln, Ontario. The SPS, originally constructed in 1975, and upgraded in 2015, is a three (3) pump (2 duty, 1 standby) wet well/dry well style facility. The required SPS upgrades include a capacity increase and replacement and upsizing of the existing forcemain and trunk sewer. The sanitary sewer from Greenlane to the Ontario St PS will require replacement and upsizing as part of this project, which includes approximately 145 m of local (Town of Lincoln) 600 mm AC sanitary sewer, 1.1 km of 600 mm AC sanitary trunk sewer and 300 m of 750 mm AC sanitary trunk sewer. The new sanitary sewer will include two (2) major crossings; CN rail and QEW. A forcemain replacement is also required to support the increase in PS capacity, which involves replacing and upsizing approximately 2.9 km of forcemain. The deliverables include a Geotechnical/Hydrogeological investigation and Construction services along Ontario Street from Greenlane to the Ontario Street Pumping Station and along North Service Road from Ontario Street to Durham Road including the Odour Facility area located on Thirty Road. Refer to Appendix D for Proposed Borehole Locations which outlines the areas to be covered under Geotechnical/Hydrogeological investigation and Construction services.
