Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fullerton, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Work shall consist of, but not limited to, repairing concrete curb and gutter, removing and constructing curb ramps, storm drain and sewer improvements, removing and construction of new asphalt concrete pavement, adjustment of valve boxes and manholes, water pollution control, and all related work. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $2,642,800. This project consists of performing pavement evaluation on multiple streets within the City of Fullerton (the City) and developing recommendations for pavement rehabilitation for each of those streets. The list of streets evaluated in this project is as follows: o W. Las Palmas Drive - Nelson Place to Harbor Blvd o Lakeview Drive - Euclid Street to northerly City limits o Coronado Drive - W. Las Palmas Drive to Cul-de-sac o W. Sunny Hills Road - Lakeview Drive to Cul-de-sac o W. Moderno Place - Lakeview Drive to Cul-de-sac o Via Codo - Lakeview Drive to Cul-de-sac o N. Hermosa Place - W. Las Palmas Drive to Cul-de-sac No Bid will be accepted unless it is made on the Bid Schedule form furnished by the Public Works Department, Engineering Division contained within the Specifications. The time of completion of contract shall be sixty (60) working days as defined in the Standard Specifications for Public Works, 2021 Edition. Liquidated Damages, as defined in the referenced specifications, Section 6-9, shall be $1,200 per calendar day. For this contract, the contractor shall possess Classification "A" license at the time the bid is submitted. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals for the work, complete in place. The Contractor agrees to commence the work and related services upon the receipt of a written Notice to Proceed from the City. It is the Contractor's responsibility to provide sufficient and qualified personnel, equipment and materials. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Fullerton, for an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount bid, such guarantee to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. Any questions regarding this bid package may be referred to Melissa Rendon, Public Works Department Engineering Division at 714.738.6886. In addition, a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid, and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid shall be required of the successful bidder prior to entering into a contract. The City will permit substitution of approved securities for monies retained on this project in accordance with Section 7-3.2 of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction ("Greenbook"), 2024. The Contractor shall also provide Commercial General Liability Insurance, Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance, Workers' Compensation, and if necessary, Umbrella/Excess Liability to the minimum limits as defined in the Supplemental Information to Bidders with Certificates of Insurance for each form of coverage. June 18, 2024 Preconstruction Meeting July 8, 2024 Notice to Proceed/Start Construction No contract will be awarded to any contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of Division III of the State Business and Professions Code, Section 7,000, et seq. The Contractor shall possess the appropriate legal and necessary licenses required to complete the work as shown in this contract at the time the bid is submitted. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bidding, and to accept any bid when it is to the advantage and best interest of the City to do so, by order of the City Council of the City of Fullerton.
