A.1 The City is requesting Proposals for the supply and installation of four (4) new playground structures at the following parks: A.1.1 Argyle Courts Playground: 1600 24th St A.1.2 Patricia Heights Community Park & Playground: 5 Young Ave A.1.3 Olivia the Brave Park: Corner of Goldenrod Dr and Plateau Dr A.1.4 Jacobson Park: 45 Mulberry Cres A.2 The playground area should be designed for ages 2 - 12. Design each playground for the established budget. The total amount quoted, in Canadian Funds, includes all duties and applicable fees, FOB Job Site, Brandon, MB and all applicable taxes. A.2.1 Argyle Courts Playground: $150,000 A.2.2 Patricia Heights Community Park & Playground: $100,000 A.2.3 Olivia the Brave Park: $200,000 A.2.4 Jacobson Park: $75,000 A.3 The Contractor shall supply all material, equipment and labor required to perform and complete the Work. The Contractor will be responsible for : A.3.1 Removal of all old playground equipment at Patricia Heights Community Park & Playground. A.3.2 All equipment at Olivia the Brave Park and Jacobson Park will not be removed. A.3.3 Site preparation, excavation and installation of protective surface foundation, borders at Patricia Heights Community Park & Playground, Olivia the Brave Park, and Jacobson Park. A.3.4 Installation of the new equipment at all sites; A.3.5 Installation of pea gravel at Patricia Heights Community Park & Playground, Olivia the Brave Park, and Jacobson Park. The depth of the pea gravel shall be dependent on the height of the structure and according to CSA fall height standards. A.4 The City, through a contractor, is completing the following at Argyle Courts Playground: A.4.1 Removal of all old playground equipment; A.4.2 All site preparation, excavation and installation of protective surface foundation; and A.4.3 Installation of pea gravel. Question Deadline 05/14/2024 Administrative inquiries and requests for clarification of the Bid process shall be made to the Procurement Manager in writing to purchasing@brandon.ca and must be received not less than five (5) business days prior to the date for closing of Bids. The City prefers the four (4) playground structures to be completed by November 04, 2024. All Work shall be completed by November 15, 2024.
