Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Basehor, Kansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; residential development; residential development; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Remaining Title - and provide other services related to such demolition. The City of Basehor is requesting a detailed lump sum proposal from qualified parties interested providing demolition, site cleanup, and related services for several pieces of property owned by the City of Basehor. The objective of this project is to remove blighted structures, enhance public safety, and prepare the land for future development. The property to be demolished includes: One (1) residential house with foundation removal, Thirteen (13) farm structures, decommissioning of one (1) water well, and removal of two foundations. The property addresses listed are owned by the City of Basehor. 15425 Hickory Street has been inspected by a licensed Asbestos removal company with all abatements completed prior to this submittal. Inspection and removal certificates may be acquired through the City upon request. All demolition must be performed by equipment, NO hand demolition will be allowed. Demolition of structures must commence no later than 14 days after the signed Professional Services Agreement and any open demolition site must be fenced or cautioned tapped off at end of each workday until final grading of site has been completed. All debris from the residential units must be hauled off site to a permitted disposal facility. Foundation walls constructed of concrete, concrete blocks, or stone will be removed and may be disposed of at 2300 N. 158th St. Basehor, KS 66007. No residential building materials will be allowed when disposing of foundation materials. Backfilling of basements will be completed by successful respondent to establish level site grading of each residential lot. Plug hand dug water well per KDHE guidelines and provide the City of Basehor with well plugging report. Hand dug well is 4' feet in diameter and approximately 40' foot depth with 13' foot of water in it. The proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the RESPONDENT, and the words "Demolition Proposal on City Owned Property," clearly visible on the outside of the envelope For questions, information or specific site inspections contact Gene Myracle at (913) 724-2000 or citysuper@cityofbasehor.org. Interested parties are advised that all equipment, labor, and materials needed to perform the demolition is the sole responsibility of the successful respondent. The successful respondent must provide all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to: 1. Demolish one (1) Residential House with Foundation Removal, Thirteen (13) Farm structures, decommission one (1) water well per KDHE regulations, and remove Two (2) foundations. 2. All demolition must be performed by use of equipment; No removal of residential units will be allowed by hand. 3. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances and administrative regulations concerning environmental and best management practices. The City of Basehor is requesting a detailed lump sum proposal from qualified parties interested providing demolition, site cleanup, and related services for several pieces of property owned by the City of Basehor. The objective of this project is to remove blighted structures, enhance public safety, and prepare the land for future development.
