Renovation of a municipal facility in Orange City, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Orange City Town Hall Roof Restoration. Provide a Proposal Security in the form of a Bond or certified check made payable to the City of Orange City. Proposal security shall be in an amount equal to 5% of the total proposal amount LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The CITY shall suffer damages if the Project is not substantially complete on the date set forth in the Contract Documents. The CONTRACTOR and its surety shall be liable for and shall pay to the CITY the sums herein stipulated as fixed, agreed and acknowledged as reasonable liquidated damages, not a penalty, for each calendar day of delay until the Work is substantially complete in the aggregate amount of ONE THOUSAND & NO/1000 dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day, unless otherwise modified by CITY. The City of Orange City has experienced severe water intrusion into the interior of the Historic City Hall, built in 1929, at 205 E. Graves Avenue, Orange City, Florida 32763. The City is soliciting sealed proposals for the necessary repairs to eliminate all sources of the water intrusion. The proposal selection will be based on the qualification of the responding contractor and the proposal price. Repair or replacement of the Orange City Town Hall cupola and weather vane; flashing; slate roof; flat roofs; gutters and downspouts and brick and mortar in accordance with the specifications as detailed in Section 6 of the RFP documents and its attachments including required permitting with the City's Building Department and any other required agencies. All work will be performed under a single contract. This will be considered a "turn key" project and the selected Contractor MUST possess the appropriate contractor license to permit, construct and subcontract any required Division II Contractors. Project Estimated Budget $400,000.00 All work will be performed under a single contract. The Project shall include, but not limited to: Repair or replacement of the Orange City Town Hall cupola and weather vane; flashing This will be considered a "turn key" project and the selected Contractor MUST possess the appropriate contractor license to permit, construct and subcontract any required Division II Contractors. A detailed scope can be found in Section 6 of the RFP documents. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. City of Orange City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in part or in whole, and to waive any informality in proposals received, as may be in the best interest of the City.
