Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Dalton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
THE CITY OF DALTON seeks competitive Proposals from contractors for the construction of: "Low Voltage - John Davis Recreation Center", located at 904 Civic Drive, Dalton, GA, 30720 (the "Project"). In general, the project entails the installation of wiring, connections, and necessary infrastructure for camera, access control, and network upgrades. The requirements for construction of the Project, and the duties and responsibilities of the contractor whose Proposal is accepted ("Successful Contractor"), are set forth in the Contract. The posting of additional addenda may be required, and it is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure that they review the City's website for any additional addenda, and that they submit acknowledgement of all applicable addenda (on the included form) with their solicitation. Contractor should not expect to be individually notified by the City of Dalton. Included in RFP packet will be Instructions to Proposers, Proposal Form which must be fully completed and submitted along with Bid Bond, and Executed E-Verify affidavit. Proposals not including executed E-verify affidavit will be automatically rejected. The Contract Documents require, among other things, the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of the Project. The City reserves the right to make available other relevant documents or information concerning the Project. Any questions or comments, questions, request for clarifications concerning this Request for Proposals should be addressed in writing to IT EMAIL and Caitlin Sharpe through email to - ITservice@daltonga.gov and csharpe@daltonga.gov. All questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted in writing via email by the questions deadline of 5:00 PM EST May 28, 2024. Questions must be directed to: IT Director City of Dalton Email: ITservice@daltonga.gov. Contractor shall assume the obligation to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Dalton, its officers, employees, and representatives from and against any and all claims, damages, suits, fees, judgments, costs, expenses (including attorneys' fees), liability or payment arising out of, or through, injury to any person or persons including death and loss of services, or damage to property, suffered through any cause whatsoever in the work involved in the contract and to defend on their behalf any suit brought against them arising from such cause. Any and all damages and costs associated with and to pedestrians, vehicles, buildings, etc. are the sole responsibility of the Contractor. The City of Dalton may review any disputes and the City's decision shall be final. The City of Dalton requests proposals from qualified and professional contractors to furnish all labor, materials, and other necessary resources to perform all required work necessary to install wiring, connections and all necessary infrastructure for various camera, access control and other associated network upgrades at a new construction site John Davis building for the Parks and Recreation Department. This work must be performed in accordance with the specifications contained in the Request for Proposals (RFP) and outlined during the required site meeting.
