Till ES - Staircase Demolition and Rebuild. Provide Labor and Materials: To demolish, repair, and paint the staircase located at the main entrance (Door 1) of Till Elementary School based on the following scope of work and CPS specifications. 1) On exisiting concrete slab on grade 2) Demolish the exisiting steel tread pans, and Terrazzo treads. 3) Replace with new steel tread pans, risers, and concrete threads. 4) Install new 24"X36" Metal access panel with keyed lock. 5) Provide 2'x4' wood blocking at perimeter of opening. 6) Install +- 1'-0" A.F.F. 7) (N) Clip angles. TYP 3/16" 8) (E) Stringers to remain in place. 9) 1/4 " Bent plate steel tread and riser. TYP 10) Cast in place new lightweight concrete tread.11) New tread and riser dimensions to match existing. 12) Provide new tread covers. 13) New L 11/2 x11/2x3/16 Fasten to existing slab with 1/4 " tapcons at 6" O.C 14) 1/4 flat bar closure plate, weld to new angle 15) Prime all new steel with a rust inhibiting coating. 16) Paint all new exposed steel to match exisiting finishes. 17) Provide allowances to touch up exisiting handrails and stringers to remain (+- 50sq.ft.) 18) Contractor to secure necessary permits. 19) Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. 20) Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. 21) Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications as listed on a) Section 05 50 00 Metal Fabrication b) Section 05 51 00 Metal Stairs c) Section 09 65 00 Resilient Flooring d) Section 03 30 53 Miscellaneous Cast-in-Place Concrete e) Section 09 91 23 Interior Painting 22) Secure job site overnight if work is not completed in one day. 23) If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary. 24) Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed. 25) All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame. 26) Contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. 27) All trash must be removed off-site by contractor. 28) Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris. 29) All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing.
