Upgrades and improvement to the City wastewater treatment facilities. The scope of the project includes the construction of a Sludge Treatment and Valorization Plant at the wastewater treatment facility Jean-R. Marcotte. The project provides for the construction of a sludge treatment plant using the principles of primary sludge dehydration and incineration with thermal energy recovery followed by a thickening process by thermal drying. The new plant will replace the current installations at the end of the period of use and will allow the treatment of 2,500,000 t of sludge per year. TIMELINE: The awarded professional consultant has completed and submitted to the owner a design study for the construction of the sludge treatment and recovery plant (UTVB) at Jean-R. Marcotte wastewater treatment facility. Based on the submitted document data the owner has issued and awarded a tender for construction manager of this project that is now followed in the report under CRM ID name Plant Jean-R Marcotte Renovation - Lots 4, 5, 6 and 8a - Project Management. No construction will follow this report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
