Town Of Branford Fine Bubble Aeration Diffuser Installation The Town Of Branford Is Requesting Bid Proposals For The Fine Bubble Aeration Diffuser Installation. The Work At The Branford Water Pollution Control Facility Includes, But Is Not Limited To, Installing New Find Bubble Aeration Membranes, Manifolds And Piping In One Of Two Aeration Tanks And One Reaeration Tank. The Work Under The Proposed Contract Shall Commence Within 60 Days After The Date Set Forth In The Notice To Proceed And Shall Be Completed Within 60 Days After Start Of Work. Bids Must Be Held Firm For Ninety (90) Days Beyond The Bid Opening Date. Location: Town Engineer Office Town Hall 1019 Main Street Branford, Ct 06405. The Town Of Branford Reserves The Right To Reject Any And All Bids, Waive Informalities Or Minor Defects In Bidding Or To Accept The Bid Of Bids, Which Best Serve The Best Interested Of The Town. Technical questions regarding this bid shall be made in writing and directed to Brian Devlin, Sanitation Superintendent; email: bdevlin@branford-ct.gov copying the Engineer of Record, Masha Yeremeev; email:myeremeev@jkmuir.com. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. SUMMARY A. Work Included: 1. Demolition and removal of existing aeration diffusers and headers in Aeration Tank #1 and Reaeration Tank. 2. Installation of new aeration diffusers and headers supplied by Owner. 3. Removal and replacement of damaged supports as necessary 4. Testing of all new equipment for proper operation and performance. B. Related Work Specified Elsewhere: 1. Construction Schedules: Section 01310. C. Removals, Relocations and Rearrangements 1. Examine the existing site for the work of all trades which will influence the cost of the work under the general bid. This work shall include removals, relocations and rearrangements which may interfere with, disturb or complicate the performance of the work under the general bid involving systems, equipment and related service lines, which shall continue to be utilized as part of the finished project. The Contractor is responsible for all coordination in this regard. 2. Provide in the general bid a sufficient amount to include all removals, relocations, rearrangements and reconnections herein specified, necessary or required to provide approved operation and coordination of the combined new and existing systems and equipment.
