Project is cancelled. All Sub-Bidders must be certified by DCAMM for the category of work for no less than the filed sub bid price and must submit with their bid, a valid DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility of Sub Bidders in the trade for which they are bidding, along with a valid DCAMM Update Statement. Every General Bidder must submit with their bid a Certificate of Eligibility available from DCAMM along with an Update statement before the bid may be considered. The work shall be completed on or before 11/21/2025 from the Notice to Proceed and in general the Project includes: Roof repair and partial replacement. Minimum rates of wages to be paid on the project have been determined by the Commissioner of Labor Workforce Development under the provisions of Sections 26 27, Chapter 149 of the General Laws. Wages rates are listed in the contract form portion of the specification book. Each Filed Sub Bid and General Bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid. Deposits shall be in the form of a BID BOND, TREASURERS or CASHIERS CHECK payable to the University of Massachusetts. Deposits shall be returned in accordance with the law. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 44A 44I inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. Filed Sub Bid categories of work: Electrical Work, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing Flashing, Waterproofing, Dampproofing, Caulking. MBE (4.2%), WBE (8.8%) The applicable minority workforce utilization percentage is 15.3%. ; The applicable women workforce utilization percentage is 6.9%. 1. General Information a. The project consists of the overall repair and selective roof replacement with modified bituminous roof systems. The selective roof replacement will occur with modified bituminous roofing in isolated areas where moisture saturation was detected via previously performed nuclear testing. After selective replacement, repair measures and a reinforced liquid applied roof membrane will be applied over both the existing to remain and replacement areas on the main roof and on the stair penthouse roofs. The roof area is approximately 42,800 sf including the stair penthouses. Lead coated copper parapet copings and fascia will be replaced with painted aluminum. Precast parapet and wall surfaces will be cleaned of stains and repainted. Existing roof equipment in the areas of roof replacement will be either demolished or temporarily disconnected and reinstalled to facilitate the roof repairs. B. The work will include all operations necessary to deliver the roofing system and toilet room fully installed and operable condition including all utility work and obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates. C. The scope of work, without limiting the generality thereof, includes all labor, materials, equipment and services required to perform the work described fully in the Drawings and Specifications and includes, but is not limited to the following major work: 1. Repair and selective replacement of existing roof systems including, but not limited to: a. Modified bituminous roofing assembly, protection board, insulation, flashing. b. Replacement of exiting copper copings and fascia with new aluminum metal. c. Thresholds and flashing work at penthouse doors. d. Mechanical and electrical work at existing to remain equipment. e.
