Reference Number 0000352047 Delivery Point: 5200 Front Range Parkway Watkins, Colorado United States 80137 The fleet equipment shop at the Colorado Air and Space Port (CASP) is undergoing some minor improvements as the Facilities and Fleet Department establishes a presence to assist with fleet maintenance. Adams County is seeking qualified and capable contractors to design and install electrical service for various pieces of equipment such as lifts, welders, and tire mounting machines. The fleet equipment shop at the Colorado Air and Space Port (CASP) is undergoing some minor improvements as the Facilities and Fleet Department establishes a presence to assist with fleet maintenance. Adams County is seeking qualified and capable contractors to design and install electrical service for various pieces of equipment such as lifts, welders, and tire mounting machines. A sketch floor plan showing the intended locations of new equipment to be installed and old equipment needing electrical service removed is included with this solicitation. Electrical specifications for the new equipment are included but will be verified. Clarifications on equipment or specifications will be provided via addendum responding to questions. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % A 5% Bid Bond is required for Construction Projects over $50,000 at the time of bid submittal. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract value, will be required at time of contract execution, or as otherwise defined in the Specifications/Scope of Work The County reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities, and the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Scope of Work a. Design: i. Determine capacity is available with existing electrical service and inside breaker panes to support new equipment. ii. Design electrical feeds to new equipment including wire/conduit sizing and route for conduit runs. iii. Provide drawings for approval by the County prior to commencing work. iv. Obtain any necessary permits. b. Construction: i. Electrical wiring and conduit to be decommissioned shall be removed entirely back to the source (nothing "abandoned in place"). ii. New electrical feeds shall be done in rigid conduit only (no MC cable). iii. Tie-in new equipment requiring hard wired connection after installation and/or placement of new equipment (installation/placement to be coordinated separately by Fleet Operations Team). iv. Contractor must provide all tools and equipment necessary to complete the scope of work. v. Provide all parts, material, and labor necessary to complete the scope of work. c. General: i. Selected firm is expected to work in a collaborative manner with the County staff and other Contractors or Vendors to develop a project that represents the goals of Adams County. ii. The selected firm will be required to Coordinate with the County's staff, CASP employees, and other vendors providing services for this project. If additional consulting services are required, the County may contract these directly or request the selected company to procure these services at an additional cost.
