Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Winthrop, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
I. Winthrop is looking for a contractor to remove and replace roofing at the Senior Center, 35 Harvard Street. Scope of services below, and pictures of the existing roofs. - Remove the existing roof shingles 1 & 2 layers to the roof sheathing. - Secure any loose decking to the rafters. - Replace up to 20' of damaged 1" x 8" roof boards. Any additional will be replaced per L/F. - Install Ice & Water 3' on the eaves, valley areas (18" on either side) sidewalls, chimney(s) & skylights. - Install synthetic underlayment to the remaining exposed sheathing. - Install new 8" drip edge to the exterior edging. - Install new approximately 50 square of GAF or Certain Teed Landmark Architectural Shingle; Vendor should verify actual square footage for proposal. - Hurricane nailing pattern 6 nails per shingle. - Install new aluminum vent pipe flanges to all vent pipes. - Install new flashing cement and membrane to the base of chimneys. - Dispose of all roofing construction debris. - Clean gutters and install new gutter guards in all gutters.
