The work to be performed under this contract includes the water main replacement on Eagle Rock Avenue from Passaic Avenue to Becker Farm Road. Principal items of work in the project include: 4,265 L.F. 8" Ductile Iron Pipe 20 L.F. 8" Insulated Ductile Iron Pipe 9 UNIT 8" Gate Valve 1 UNIT Fire Service Reconnection 5 UNIT Fire Hydrant Assembly 3 UNIT 1" Service Connection Assembly, Short 5 UNIT 8" Line Stop 5 UNIT 6" Line Stop 5 UNIT 8" x 8" x 8" Tapping Sleeve and Valve 5 UNIT 8 x 6" x 6" Tapping Sleeve and Valve 1 UNIT Air Release Manhole The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 120 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms furnished with the contract documents, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Unless otherwise permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3, all bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner and Bidder may agree to hold bids for consideration for a longer period of time, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 24. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10, or other applicable law; to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq.
