Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mukilteo, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work to be performed in the summer of 2024 under these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the Chennault Beach Drive Drainage Improvements located in the western portion of the City of Mukilteo. In general, this Contract provides for the improvements of existing, under-capacity storm system by providing a closed conveyance system with sufficient capacity for a 100-year storm event along Chennault Beach Drive, 62nd Place West, and 64th Place West as shown in the Contract Plans. Improvements consist of the installation of new drainage pipe within the existing right-of-way (ROW), new surface-staked pipe and energy dissipation outfall, relocation of existing storm stubs, shoulder paving and asphalt thickened edges, replacement of existing driveways disturbed as a result of the project, grind and overlay of the roadway within project limits, installing plantings to mitigate disturbances created during construction, permanent signing, construction surveying, traffic control, erosion control best management practices, restoring off-roadway vegetated areas and other work all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Contractor is required to visit the site limits prior to bid. No pre-bid site inspection or meeting is scheduled. The work described in these Contract Documents shall be physically completed within 65 Working Days. Bid Bond Required: Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of such bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid bond shall be forfeited to the City of Mukilteo. Where necessary, addenda will be completed by email only and each must be acknowledged in the bid submittal. All addenda will be posted for this project at online by Friday, May 24, 2024. The City of Mukilteo reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or minor irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved, make the award to best serve the interests of the City of Mukilteo.
