2024 Springwood Lane Paving Project Project is located at Springwood Lane in the Town of Withee. Starting at gravel and going to the cul-desac. Project is approximately 1,600 feet in length and will be paved 17 feet wide with a 1.5 foot shoulder where possible. Before paving, a total of 4 inches of gravel is to be applied and rough graded. Gravel is to be 3/4 inch blue granite road base. Gravel driveway approaches will recieve a 12 inch paved bump out approach. Gravel will need to be graded to provide access to roadway from driveway not to exceed a 6% grade. Paved and concrete driveways will need the approaches removed far enough to provide a maximum of 6% grade once roadway and driveway approaches are repaved. Final shaping is to be done to maintain a 2-3% pitch towards shoulder. Compaction with roller and water is required to create a firm base. Pavement is to be applied 17 feet wide and in two layers. Total pavement compacted thickness is to be no less than 3 inches. Bottom layer may be 3LT58-28, 3LT64-28, 4LT58-28 or 4LT64-28. Top layer can be 4LT58-28 or 4LT64-28. Shouldering material is to be 3/4 inch or 1/2 inch blue granite road base. Where possible a 1.5 foot shoulder should be placed. Shouldering should be applied at approximately a 4% grade and compacted after application. Project must be completed by August 30, 2024 Bid must be entered on supplied bid form. Fill bid form out completely. Specify types of material to be used and location of product production. No bid will be accepted unless accompanied by Certificate of Insurance. Bid must be clearly labeled as "Springwood Lane Paving Bid" and sealed. All products will be paid by materials used and weight slips are required to be provided to the Town Board on all applied materials.
