Site work for a museum in Springfield, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a museum.

As of June 25, 2024, bids received were rejected. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. IDNR is seeking a Vendor to repair the loading dock at the Illinois State Museum in Springfield, Illinois. SCOPE OF WORK: 1.The attachments to this document - Attachments 2: Technical Specifications and Architectural Drawings are the entirety of the scope of work, and show all materials, sizes, and quantities, please review carefully. The attachments are part of the contract. What is written below is summary of the scope of work. Drawings and Technical Specifications take precedence. Metal jack posts supporting the existing ramp and dock shall be saved and turned over to DNR staff. 2. Removal and disposal of existing steel and concrete ramp system and wood stairs. 3. Removal and disposal of asphalt paving and excavated soil materials within the new dock and ramp footprint. 4. Temporary removal and safe storage of existing stone wall panels. Stone wall panels to be reinstalled at completion of new dock work. Stone panels will need to be cut to size as required and have anchorage points modified. 5. Provide new reinforced concrete infill at stone panel removal areas. 6. Provide new reinforced concrete foundation walls and footing systems at new dock and ramp structures. All concrete to be integral color - color to be determined. 7. Provide new reinforced concrete slab on grade construction at new dock and ramp structures. All concrete to be integral color - color to be determined. 8. Provide new compacted granular fill at new loading dock and ramp structures. 9. Provide new 1-1/2" diameter galvanized steel guardrails with welded joints and seams at new dock and ramp structures. All guardrails to be painted. 10. Provide (9) new 6" diameter concrete filled pipe bollards with concrete foundation/footings. Paint all pipe bollards. 11. Provide new laminated rubber dock bumper system. 12. Provide new 6" deep concrete site paving over 6" compacted CA-6 fill at areas of removed site paving during excavation and construction. 13. Provide new site/parking lot striping and painting. 14. Maintain current traffic flow of parking lot for emergency vehicle access - Do not block access to parking lot or traffic. Coordinate all site activities with DNR project Manager. Duration Bids shall be good for ninety (90) calendar days after the Bid Opening Date. Contract Award Contract award will be made to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder. The Department of Natural Resources reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Term of Contract All work shall be completed by October 31, 2024.
