Removal of PCC pavement from the drive lanes on North Grandview Avenue from Loras Boulevard to Audubon Street and replacement with 8" thick HMA pavement. Pavement scarification and resurfacing of the pavement from Audubon Street to Rosedale Avenue is also planned to occur. Some of the major project quantities include: Excavation Class 10 - 986 CY Granular Subbase - 1797 Ton HMA Pavement - 1715 Ton PCC Pavement Removal - 3943 SY Milling of HMA Pavement - 2542 SY Each Bidder must accompany its Bid with a Bid security as security that the successful Bidder will enter into a contract for the work Bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety Bond, acceptable to the governmental entity, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The Bid security must be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the contract and must be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state chartered or federally chartered credit union, or the Bidder may provide a Bid Bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the governmental entity. The Bid Bond must contain no conditions except as provided in this section. Davis-Bacon Federal Prevailing Wage Act and related labor requirements and regulations are not applicable and will NOT be in effect for this Project. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Policy Requirements are not applicable and will NOT be in effect for this Project. Targeted Small Businesses (TSB) Affirmative Action Responsibilities for Non-federal aid Projects are not applicable and will NOT be in effect for this Project. Work on the Project must be commenced within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed has been issued and shall be fully completed by August 22, 2024. The City of Dubuque, Iowa, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
