The City of Compton is soliciting proposals from consulting firms to provide professional design services to improve, renovate and repair the Jackie Robinson Stadium (Project) located at 1101 West Cressey Street, Compton, CA 90221 (Gonzales Park) in the City of Compton. This project includes renovation and repair of restrooms, locker areas and other existing structures for ADA compliance, concession stand for ADA accessibility and safety and security lighting for safety. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is intended to procure professional services for architectural and engineering design for improvement and renovation of interior restrooms, locker rooms, showers, concession stand/snack bar, roofing, flooring, Press box and sound system and kitchen area. The Scope of Work is included in Appendix A of this RFP. This project is being financed with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (24 CFR Part 570) and subject to certain requirements including: compliance with Section 3 (24 CFR Part 135) Economic Opportunities requirements; payment of Federal Davis-Bacon prevailing wages; Federal Labor Standards Provisions (HUD 4010); Executive Order #11246; and others. Federal provisions and forms (some required with proposal submittal) are listed under Appendix C and will be incorporated into the final contract. Prospective firms are encouraged to promptly notify the City of Compton of any apparent inconsistencies in this RFP and attachments Performance under a contract awarded pursuant to this RFP is intended to commence after the City issues a Notice to Proceed to the successful firm, subject to the successful conclusion of contract negotiations. The City anticipates 120 Working Days for the construction and completion of the project. All proposal must be received before the time and date listed under this RFP. The City will not accept any proposals received after the listed time and date. Six (6) copies of the Proposal, including one (1) copy containing an original signature, including USB disk of the electronic version of the proposal must be provided.
