As of July 02, 2025, this project is in Pre-Construction Status Design Professional Services - Smoky Hollow Park Project. Question Deadline 06/20/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Any comments or questions that arise concerning any of these requirements that is unclear or objectionable must be submitted electronically to Megan Walsh (Megan.Walsh@raleighnc.gov). The City of Raleigh is soliciting Requests for Qualifications from qualified architectural and engineering firms with expertise transforming previously developed sites with a history of environmental contamination into new public parks with urban stream restoration; storm water treatment; pedestrian pathways, boardwalks, and bridges; plaza features; and native plant landscapes. The site for the proposed Smoky Hollow Park is a 13.7-acre City-owned parcel, located north of downtown Raleigh near the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Peace Street. The project is currently at the conclusion of schematic design and has an approved schematic site plan in place to bring the project into advanced design phases. The selected design team will be expected incorporate all programmatic, layout, hardscape and landscape, stream restoration, and storm water design elements, included in the schematic design, into the final design. Site remediation design will also be a component of this project. The City intends to utilize its standard professional services contract language without modification for this project. Exceptions to the City's standard contract language will not be allowed. Both hard copy and electronic versions must be received by the City on or before the RFQ date and time provided in Section 1.3 RFQ Timeline. Proposals received after the RFQ deadline above will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the return address provided on the submission envelope. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals for any reason and to waive any informality it deems in its best interest. The Schematic Design, based on the Concept Plan, was approved by City Council on May 7, 2024. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
