The current project is the third phase of a plan to modernize and expand the facility to accommodate the College of Education and the Honors College, which are being relocated from their current facilities on South Campus. Program elements include classrooms, faculty and administrator offices, a multipurpose event space, conference and meeting rooms, and open study and collaboration space. Site work, footings, and foundations for the addition will begin in August as soon as the tower demolition is complete.
