The City of Torrington, Connecticut WPCA (hereinafter referred to as City), through the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent, will accept sealed bids to supply two (2) Cummins generators or equivalent which will include upgrades to the electrical system, transfer switch, SCADA communications, propane and electrical panel for turn-key projects in accordance with the specifications and requirements contained in this request. Vendors will be required to supply manufacturer specifications of generators mentioned with bid. Generators supplied for this bid shall be new. Used or open boxes will not be accepted. In the event of the closure of City Hall, proposals shall be due the next day when City Hall reopens for business, on that day. All bid submissions and materials become property of the City and will not be returned. The Deadline for submitted questions is Wednesday, May 22, 2024 by 4:00 PM. All information by the City except by written addendum shall be informal and shall not be binding upon the City nor shall it furnish a basis for legal action by any proposer against the city. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to see that the bid is in the hands of the proper authority prior to the bid opening time. The City will not be liable for any costs incurred by a contractor in the preparation or submission of a proposal.
