The City of La Porte is seeking competitive bids for the removal and disposal of existing chain link fencing, trees and vegetation, and ground preparation prior to erecting the new fencing as specified herein. A portion of the perimeter shall be chain link fencing including new concrete posts with PVC slats but most of the perimeter shall be ornamental fencing. Two gates, one double swing ornamental, and one single-swing ornamental, shall also be provided and installed as specified. All work is to be performed at Bay Forest Golf Course located at 201 Bay Forest Dr., La Porte, Texas 77571. TIME OF COMPLETION: The undersigned Bidder proposes and agrees hereby to commence the Work of the Contract Documents on a date specified in a written Notice to Proceed to be issued by the OWNER and shall fully complete the Work within 45 calendar days. Question Deadline 05/24/2024 at 5:00 PM CT A request for such interpretation shall be submitted in writing at online or delivered to the Purchasing Office at 604 W. Fairmont Pkwy, La Porte, Texas 77571. Purchasing will act as liaison between the requester and the departmental representative or Engineer to seek clarification or supplemental instructions appropriate to the request. Owner Rights: The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any and all technicalities and to accept any bid or part thereof, which in the opinion of the city council, is most advantageous to the city. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the bid, the city reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof or to reject the bid. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the Bids without consent of OWNER. All bid shall be accompained by an acceptable Bid Bond guaranty in an amount of not less than five (5%) of the total Bid. Please use the Bid Bond form provided. Performance and Payment bonds shall also be executed on the forms furnished by the city upon award. Each bond shall be issued in amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount by a solvent corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Texas and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by the OWNER pursuant to applicable law.
