Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District (hereinafter District) is requesting a quote for exterior painting at Valley Center High School. The District intends to enter into an agreement, with a Contractor to provide labor and materials for the jobs per attached Technical Specifications. Prevailing wages are applicable to the Project, asisthe DIR requirement for a project to be set up, and the awarded contractor to report directly to the DIR, their Certified Payroll. These per diem rates, including holiday and overtime work, as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes, are available from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq., it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such Contractor, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract. Please note, should this project reach the $25,000.00 threshold, the awarded vendor will be required to provide Payment Bond. A Bid Bond only required if job exceeds $200,000. Performance Bond is not required.
