Domestic Hot Water System Upgrade at Elizabeth High School All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. The bid package also includes other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Elizabeth Board of Education, Attention: Mr. Mario L. Rodrigues. with the following information plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the Elizabeth Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000. While attendance is not mandatory, all prospective bidders are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend this important meeting for purposes of clarifying specific information concerning the Project work, hearing other Bidders' questions regarding various aspects of the Project and the answers thereto, and learning the manner of proper completion and submission of the Bid Documents to ensure a responsive Bid. A Bidder's failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference is at their own risk. The last day for questions shall be Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. An addendum shall be released to all registered Bidders on Thursday, June 6, 2024. A bidder on a public works project for a Public Schools where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27 through 33, and shall submit with his bid a Prequalification Affidavit - No Material Adverse Change, a copy of a valid and active NOTICE OF CLASSIFICATION, a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form and such Affidavit that subsequent to the latest such statement submitted there has been no material adverse change in his qualification information except as set forth in said Affidavit. Bidders shall be prequalified in Category C0030 - Plumbing The Elizabeth Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, those deemed to be non-responsive, and those bids submitted by bidders deemed not to be responsible under the Public-School Contracts Law. The Elizabeth Board of Education may also waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Elizabeth Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements.
