Nanaimo Courthouse Building, roof, windows and other building envelop upgrades, mechanical systems and electrical upgrades. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. The Nanaimo Court House building at 35 Front Street falls within the Heritage Conservation Area (HCA1), thus a heritage alteration permit is required prior to issuance of a building permit for exterior changes to the building. Timelines for tender and construction is undetermined. Further update in fall 2026, upon approvals. *The preliminary construction estimate is approximately $5 Million. Estimated Contract Duration (33 months).
