Question & Clarification Deadline: May 28, 2024, 5:00pm Summary The City of New Haven (the "City"), acting through its Department of Parks and Public Works (the "Department") and Bureau of Purchasing, does, pursuant to this Request For Proposal ("RFP") request proposals for the management, operation, and maintenance of the Alling Memorial Golf Course (the "Golf Course") and associated restaurant facility. Background Alling Memorial Golf Course (named for Arthur E. Alling, the largest private contributor to the golf course's construction) is located on 147 acres in the northeast section of the City of New Haven. When the Golf Course was originally built in 1925, the City of East Haven gave New Haven a substantial portion of land for the facility in return for the pledge that the citizens of East Haven would be charged resident rates at the Golf Course. Alling Memorial consists of an 18-hole golf course, a full-service restaurant and snack bar, pro shop, lockers, cart rentals and a putting green. Also, the site possesses support facilities required for the ongoing maintenance and operations of the course including a maintenance yard, storage sheds, materials storage and the like. The clubhouse and restaurant are in the process of renovation with substantial completion projected in fall of 2024.
