The bid shall include all necessary work zone traffic control. This project consists of the following work Establish Work Zone Traffic Control. Saw Cut or mill the perimeter to specified widths in identified locations and remove 5 inches depth of material. Proof roll or otherwise evaluate condition of underlying base/subbase materials. Prepare and tack coat all surfaces. Place 5 compacted inches of 25 mm base course Lower Frederick Township (LFT) is seeking sealed bids online via Online (Online) for Pavement Base Repairs in Lower Frederick Township. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the Instructions for Submitting Electronic Bids set forth in the Bid Packet, including, but not limited to, a Bid Bond (issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania), Bank Money Order, or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to LFT; an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds will be provided by the Successful Bidder to LFT upon the awarding of the Bid; and proof of insurance as required by the Contract Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. This Project is subject to provisions of Act 422 of 1961, as amended (Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act) and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Department of Labor and Industry. Award of the Contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bids may be held by LFT for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
