The Marin County Flood Control & Water Conservation District (District) is seeking proposals to provide vegetation management services of sites specific to California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) permit requirements for invasive removal and adaptive management strategy practices. The purpose of these services is to maintain compliance for invasive species not to exceed the threshold of 20% cover along the project reach and prevent other non-native species from forming a monoculture. The contractors will be responsible for removing non-native species within this criteria Novato Creek's native habitat. This project is within Flood Control Zone No. 1 (Zone 1) within the Novato Creek Watershed in the City of Novato, California. The work shall begin Summer 2024 after bird nesting season and may continue until the next time sediment is removed from Novato Creek (no earlier than Summer 2025). Deadline to Submit Questions: 5/31/2024 04:00 PM Responses to Questions: 6/07/2024 ***Prebid meeting: The purpose of the site visit is to acquaint prospective bidders with the existing conditions of each site, the layouts, access of each site, and the surrounding area, which could affect the cost of the bid. * The site visit will be approximately 1.5 hours to 3 hours. Attendees are expected to provide their vehicle transportation between the two sites. * Only bids from bidders who attend the site visit will be accepted. The County of Marin reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to elect not to enter into any contract for the services described in the scope of work. The County reserves the right to make multiple awards of this proposal. The County of Marin also reserves the right to request clarification of information from the proposer.
